Last autumn, the Tetraktys team organized a crowd funding campaign to raise funds for the documentary film “KYPRIS – THE APHRODITE OF CYPRUS REVEALED”. We haven’t forgotten you at all and want to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude for your support! Your donation made it possible for us to continue our work on “KYPRIS – THE APHRODITE OF CYPRUS REVEALED” and to disclose unknown facts about the (his/her)story of this great Goddess. (Please note that we decided to change the documentary’s title “KYPRIS – THE APHRODITE OF CYPRUS REVEALED” to “KYPRIS > APHRODITE > VENUS: THE GREAT GODDESS OF CYPRUS”.)
Thanks to your help, this project has come a long way and we were able to cover the entire expenses for the computer graphics!
Since 2008, the Tetraktys team is working diligently on the production of “KYPRIS > APHRODITE > VENUS: THE GREAT GODDESS OF CYPRUS”, which is the first ever to be made documentary about Aphrodite worldwide. Extensive research has been done and high quality material has been assimilated. We spoke to Cyprus’ older generation and recollected rare testimonials and legends. By recording them on tape, we were able to preserve significant parts of our oral history.
Furthermore, the team led numerous interviews with internationally acknowledged artists, archeologists and other scientists. But to be able to transmit the secrets of the Goddess in their integrity, some funds are still missing.
Your support is vital and would help us realize the work on the film music, the translation, the voice-over and the versioning. We therefore decided to launch a second crowd funding campaign, starting soon. Once again, we call for action!
Our journey has not yet come to an end. Our passion for the myth of the great goddess Aphrodite (or Wanassa, Kypris and Venus), who supposedly originated from our beautiful homeland Cyprus, pushes us forward. We are eager to continue our work on this original documentary and reward you with your perks!
